Neurodegenerative diseases

Alzheimer's Disease,
Parkinson's disease,
Multiple sclerosis

Innovative gene therapy candidates for neurodegenerative diseases have been developed using a patented non-viral DNA vector platform. By directly targeting intracellular protein aggregates (for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s), modulating glial scars and sparks remyelination (for multiple sclerosis), promoting neuroregeneration and neuroprotection, this approach addresses underlying pathological processes rather than merely managing symptoms. Cell-specific, inflammation-responsive promoters, a two-stage dosing regimen, and a finely curated gene set enable precise gene expression, boosting efficacy and minimizing side effects - achievements conventional pharmacology could not reach without endangering healthy cells.

Preclinical work and a completed Phase I trial with a related candidate attest to the platform’s safety, while extensive patent coverage spans the United States, the European Union, Japan, South Korea and other key markets. A proprietary formulation employs functionalized liposome-PEG nanoparticles for robust stability, biocompatibility, and effective penetration of the blood-brain barrier. Its efficient production process further supports commercial viability, meeting critical unmet needs. With additional animal studies and clinical trials on the horizon, those involved remain open to multiple partnership structures—ranging from exclusive licences and joint project development to potential acquisitions-aiming to accelerate the transition from laboratory to clinic.
